Split AC consists of an outdoor units with a compressor and condenser and an indoor unit with a fan. Between the two units is usually a series of lines containing copper cooling pipes, electrical wiring, and condensate drains.

Many people prefer split air conditioners because of the following advantages:

Easy installation process

Compared to conventional systems, split systems require less installation effort. Not only does it require no drainage, the connection between your indoor and outdoor units only requires holes about 3 inches in diameter. When you’re done, all you need is access to electricity and a place to install your equipment. Manufacturers offer different lengths for cooling pipes so your indoor and outdoor units can be spaced up to 30 meters apart.

Higher energy efficiency

Central systems lose a lot of energy through piping, and leaky lines can mean up to 30% loss of cooling energy. If you install non-insulated ducts or ducts in non-AC rooms, it creates energy efficiency problems. Since the split system offers a completely waterless design, it increases energy savings and reduces the cost of future electricity bills. In some cases, airless air conditioners can exceed twice the efficiency of standard air conditioners and reach more than 30 SEER.

They blend into your facility

Indoor installation is very flexible with split air conditioners. You can hang it from the ceiling or hang it on the wall. In addition, many offer elegant and sophisticated jackets that are aesthetically pleasing. Also, split systems are less intrusive than windows, requiring you to either punch holes in the walls or dedicate windows to your air conditioner.

Quiet operation

Ductless split AC for indoor use can operate silently at 19 decibels, which is significantly quieter than window bodies. The battery capacitors are also much thinner in profile, making it easier for you to position them in different locations where noise might be a factor or where there isn’t a lot of space.

Security enhancement

Split system air conditioners are significantly more security friendly than window modules, which offer burglars access to your home. A small hole in your pipe does not pose a major threat to the safety of your home, while an open hole in your wall or window can easily penetrate you.

Zoning

A split air conditioner cools different parts of your home and divides the space into zones. Each zone has its own thermostat, unlike traditional air conditioning systems which have thermostats for your entire room. Individual thermostats allow you to control which areas of your home are cooled and limit cooling to specific areas. This means that in the long run you will use less energy and save money at the same time.
